[48 Hour Film Festival]

This year Paul and I were a part of RoundDog Film's production of "Stuck", an entry for the 48 Hour Film Festival. Paul created all original music for the soundtrack (except the stock track on the opening reel), I was a zombie hooker. Here are some pictures:

"STUCK" will be airing at the "48 Hour Film Festival" showings at the Asheville Pizza Brewery under "Group A". Showings are at 4:00pm on Tuesday, 7:00pm on Wednesday and at 9:00pm on Thurdsday (June 22, 23 and 24 respectively). "STUCK" will also be available eventually on YouTube.

finally mustered up the courage to change out sisa's eyes.
aren't they lovely?

i'm finding it a challenge to photograph her in daylight, so I tried something new! after much fooling around with the camera while watching tv in a dark room, I have some semi-decent pictures of the new eyes.

the colors are really awful, and they definitely change with whatever dominant hues were on the tube, so pardon the inconsistency between these two photos.

i wish sisa could hold this pose on her own, but i definitely had to manually hold her arms just to take this shot. :-P

its been a while since the last remi post.
she got a new dress recently.

how has everyone's 2009 been so far?
this year has started off rough in more ways than one. already i can tell that things can only get worse before they get better. better to take everything in stride, ride these last waves of uncertainty until the next big tsunami hits.

lol. at least i still have a job. ha-HA!

bought from the good people at fuzzy ink. we highly recommend their merchandise to mustache owners, admirers and enthusiasts.

they believe in feeling better through a healthy growth of facial hair. oddly enough none of them currently possess the debonair mustaches so proudly emblazoned on their shirts.

i'm on vacation this week. finally a chance to catch my breath.

osa is still as adorable as ever.
after a while of putting work first, i plan on spending some quality time with the dolls.

i may have to schedule a dentist appointment soon.
because leftover halloween candy = tender teeth.

i would like for everyone to meet my new girl, Sisa!
she just came in the mail today, and I feel it would be a shame if i couldn't share her with you.

she's a tan MSD F-21, my dream doll-- and have my dear friend, PancakeGenocide to thank for allowing me the opportunity of having Sisa in my home.

Sisa is so adorable! she has such a rambunctious attitude, for SURE there will be more pictures to come.

we harvested our first melon today!

its so small~ and so seriously sweet, this has to be a fluke. according to our experiences, the first fruits are always a little off... we would be naive to think that this situation doesn't apply.

Harvest: Eggplant Edition.
Lately we've had some problems with japanese beetles on that particular plant and they've done some pretty disheartening damage to its leaves. I worried about it from time to time, as harvest drew near.
Secretly, our little eggplant had a valiant protector...

How lovely~
I feel like I dropped in on such a tender moment.

Also, Peri and Remi received some aesthetic work from Canada. Their hands and feet just came in the mail mid-week.

Its amazing how a simple mani-pedi brings so much life to them.

Remi finally has a DollHeart outfit! Hooray. Some of what they've released recently for SD I found unimpressive, but Cherry Romance I was drawn to in with the same intensity as the MSD Blue Berry set. I love the little buttons! ARRR, so cute.

I love all the frills, especially on the skirt.

Lucky that I actually got this set, I found out about the pre-order way after the fact and it was sold out at every third party DollHeart seller I knew of. I posted a WTB thread on DoA, and lo and behold someone pointed me in the direction of jpopdolls who had it in stock. In all honesty I would have never bought from them if I wasn't so bent on getting this set, IMO the site looks a tad bit cheap.

My name is Pia. I say "Pea-ah" or "Pea-ya."
Americans seem to have a field day with the pronunciation of my three-letter name. "Pie-yuh", "Pei-ah", "Pai", "Pee-uh", "Pyah"... and surprisingly I've head a few say "Pi-na." Where is that "N" coming from?

there's a snow storm warning for the rest of this week up in Asheville. nice, powdery, pretty looking snow. lucky for those of us with foresight we are stocked up with enough supplies to last IF (and when) we get snowed in. and I am not driving.

tomorrow there might be one to three inches more of this stuff.
